How It Works

From rates to delivery, step by step.

Updated October 20, 2026

  1. Get rates

Enter where the parcel goes from and to, the box size, the weight and how many boxes. You do not need an account to compare rates.

At launch both addresses must be in Canada. Each option shows its price, an estimated delivery time and a MIR-Trans reference, so you can compare services side by side.

  2. Save or email a quote (optional)

Signed in, you can save the rates as a quote. A saved quote has its own reference and holds its prices for 24 hours, and you can email it to your account's address.

Your saved quotes are listed under My Quotes. Book from a valid quote, or refresh the prices of an expired one first.

  3. Sign in

To pay and book you need a MIR-Trans account. When you sign up we email you a code to verify your address.

Each time you sign in we email you a one-time code that expires in 10 minutes. Tick "Trust this workstation for 30 days" and that computer will not ask for a code again for 30 days.

  4. Pay securely

Choose a service and pay on the secure checkout page of our payment processor. MIR-Trans never sees your full card number.

  5. Booking and your label

Your shipment is booked only after your payment succeeds and the carrier confirms it. If the carrier cannot book it after you pay, our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains what happens.

We email a confirmation with your tracking number and invoice to your account's address. Your label is in your Shipments dashboard: print it and attach it to the outside of the box. Your receipt is in Billing & Payments.

  6. Pickup or drop-off

Carrier pickups are available only for services whose carrier offers them. Where a pickup is available, a Pickup button appears on that shipment in your dashboard; you choose the window, and the pickup shows as scheduled once the carrier confirms it.

Otherwise, take your labelled parcel to a location of the carrier shown on your label. Cancelling a pickup does not cancel the shipment - you can still drop the parcel off.

  7. Track it

Follow your shipment on the Track page or from your dashboard. Unless you switch them off, we also email you when it is on its way, delivered or returned.

Delivery times are the carrier's estimates, not a promised delivery date.

  8. If something changes

Whether a booked shipment can be cancelled and refunded depends on the carrier voiding the label.
