MIR-Trans compares parcel services from several carrier partners in one place. You enter the shipment once and see every service that can carry it, side by side.
Each option is shown under its MIR-Trans service name with a MIR-Trans reference. The carrier that will move your parcel is printed on your shipping label once you book.
At launch we ship parcels within Canada only: the sender's address and the recipient's address must both be in Canada.
International shipments, including Canada to the United States, are not offered yet. A domestic parcel never needs customs details.
Depending on the route, the size and the weight, you can see anything from economy ground services to faster expedited and priority services. Which services appear, and at what price, is decided by the carriers for that shipment - not every service is available on every route.
Delivery times shown with a rate are the carrier's estimates, not a promised delivery date.
Every service in the rate list shows the same facts, so you can compare like with like:
One quote covers 1 to 50 boxes of the same size, up to 1000 kg in total. Boxes of different sizes need separate quotes.
The quote form warns you when one box is heavier than 30 kg - many services will not carry it. Each carrier sets its own size and weight limits per service, so a large or heavy box may get fewer options.
Carrier pickups are available only for services whose carrier offers them. Where a pickup is available, a Pickup button appears on that shipment in your dashboard; the pickup shows as scheduled once the carrier confirms it.
For a drop-off only service, take your labelled parcel to a location of the carrier shown on your label.
Shipments leaving Canada, and anything a carrier will not take as a parcel. If you need to send something unusual - very large, heavy or restricted items - contact us before you book.
